Electroverge® is now offering Viking Corp Tech's MEF metal film high precision resistors to its product portfolio. The MELF resistors offer excellent overall stability, tighter tolerance down to ± 0.1%, extremely low TCR down to ± 5 PPM/°C, high power ratings up to 1 Watt, and are available in either as RoHS compliant or with SnPb termination finish. The MELF is cylindrical in shape and with metal electrode Leadless face resistor. Land pattern sizes are the same as SMD chip resistors. It is manufactured by depositing a homogeneous film of NiCr onto a high-grade ceramic body. The high quality of the MELF resistor offers excellent electrical and environmental stability, exceptional stability demonstrated over life, biased humidity, and short time overload testing.
